China-Taiwan Conflict
October 7, 2024The Russia-Ukraine conflict is not recent, and their relationship could be described as almost eternal. It is enough to understand that the Russian Empire was called, for centuries, Kievan Rus to give us an idea of what we are talking about.
Content
Origin of Kievan Rus
Kievan Rus traces its origins to the founding of the Khaganate of Rus and the emergence of the Rurik dynasty in 862 AD. However, it was during the reign of Prince Oleg (r. 879–912)—who in 882 extended his control from Novgorod to the valley of the Dnieper River to protect trade routes from Khazar incursions in the east, and moved his capital to the more strategic Kiev—that the country was established, forming the foundational base of what is today Ukraine and Russia.
The NATO, USA, and Europe opened their doors to all former Soviet countries, prompting Russia to annex Crimea as an act of protest and reprisal. That is where it all began.
In this section, we will examine how this conflict is, in reality, the expression of significant planetary cycle relationships and how those cycles, in the natal charts of both Russia and Ukraine, affect key points of importance for both nations. These include the Moon, the Sun, Saturn, and Pluto, celestial bodies that represent the leaders, power, the people of the country—including its territorial integrity—and, of course, the nation’s structures.
Astrological Interpretation of the Russian War
The astrological interpretation of the Russia-Ukraine war will help us to understand the geopolitical movements that will impact the entire planet until 2028. This period is marked by Pluto square Saturn, a natural expression of the friction between power and the structures that wield it, which began in 2020 with Pluto conjunct Saturn during the COVID-19 pandemic. This reflects a cleansing of the lingering past in nations that dominate the world and exercise that power. The same dynamics occurred during the Second World War, which, despite being called “worldwide,” did not impact all continents—South America, for example, experienced no major changes beyond migration. It was fundamentally a battle between nations dominating the global stage and fighting among themselves for control of the world.
The Russia-Ukraine war will not reach its conclusion until 2027/2028, culminating in the fragmentation of both nations, which will be destroyed by years of conflict, along with the fall of both leaders and their governmental systems. The year 2028 will signify the end of many things, including four years of open wars across the planet and the fragmentation of countries such as Russia, the USA, and the EU.
Similarly, it will mark a point of no return, where humanity will undergo a shift in political systems. We will change our political election methods, ushering in new systems designed to ensure that such events never happen again.
Ukraine, November 21, 2013: Euro Maidan “The People Want Europe”

The Euromaidan (in Ukrainian, Євромайда́н, Yevromaidán; “Europlaza”) is a term that refers to a series of heterogeneous demonstrations and riots of a pro-European, independence-oriented, and nationalist nature in Ukraine. These began on November 21, 2013, with large protests in Independence Square in Kiev. The protests were triggered by President Viktor Yanukovych’s sudden decision to suspend the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine in favor of closer ties with the Russian Federation. The Ukrainian parliament had overwhelmingly approved ratification of the EU Agreement, but Russia reportedly pressured the Ukrainian government into rejecting it. Protesters opposed what they viewed as widespread government corruption, abuse of power, and violations of human rights.
In Ukraine’s natal chart cast for this moment, we see an aspirational phase, where Mars transiting conjunct its natal Mars is mobilizing general energies for action. At the same time, Mars forms a square to the cusp of the 6th house (the environment) while creating a positive sextile to the Midheaven/Pluto, with Saturn transiting this axis, demanding changes from government structures.
Saturn transiting the Midheaven (the intellectual and executive heads of a system) over the natal Pluto indicates tension among those in power, who are under pressure from the people to enact change, specifically a shift in power (Pluto) from Russia to Europe.
The Saturn-Jupiter cycle is already active, seen in opposition, a dynamic that will continue to develop until 2028. The relationship between Saturn and Jupiter governs the organization of civilizations: Jupiter legislates, integrates, and approves through laws and agreements, while Saturn molds, sculpts, and builds the structures necessary for everything to function.
Uranus transiting creates squares to Jupiter and Pluto, activating two additional cycles that we will analyze further in this section. Uranus also squares the 1-7 axis (the axis of personal relationships), destabilizing it. Additionally, it forms a semi-square (tension) to the natal Moon—a fundamental aspect, as the Moon represents the people, their emotions, and ancestral heritages. Saturn also squares the natal Moon, indicating multiple direct pressures against the Moon.
Ukraine, November 21, 2014: Russia Annexes Crimea

I cast the chart exactly one year after the Ukrainian Euromaidan, marking the moment when Russia decided to intervene, effectively starting a conflict that will extend well beyond 2026. Uranus must surpass its square to Ukraine’s natal Sun, and Pluto transiting must move at least three degrees away from Ukraine’s natal Saturn before the country begins to stabilize. However, this will not happen until beyond 2026 because Pluto, while transiting, approaches Ukraine’s natal Moon, delaying stabilization until 2038. Ukraine’s transformation will not be quick or light; it will symbolize the global changes dictated by the minor trine of the transpersonal planets, subjecting the world to very difficult adjustments.
The annexation of Crimea by Russia is not recognized by Ukraine, which considers it illegitimate and a violation of international law, insisting that the territory remains the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the special city of Sevastopol.7. This annexation, deemed illegal by the United States and the European Union, triggered the worst crisis in U.S.-Russia relations since the end of the Cold War8, a situation drastically worsened by the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Furthermore, in March 2014, the United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 68/262, titled “Territorial Integrity of Ukraine,” in response to Russia’s annexation of Crimea9 . Approved by 100 countries, the resolution reaffirmed the UN’s commitment to recognizing Crimea as part of Ukraine and rejected the referendum on its political status.
The Crimea invasion began in March—a subject we will examine in the next chart, where a Pluto-Mars square is evident. Here, however, we already observe a classic power-violence cycle: Pluto and Mars conjunct on Ukraine’s Ascendant, signaling violent changes in the environment. This conjunction directly impacts Ukraine’s natal Uranus and Neptune, representing dreams and aspirations of technology and modernization that are now completely frustrated. This Pluto-Mars cycle will continue appearing in future charts, forming squares and oppositions until the conflict is resolved.
This Pluto-Mars transiting cycle also forms a quincunx (awkward energy of unforeseen events or invisible attacks) to Jupiter, with Jupiter transiting over Ukraine’s stellium of 4 planets. This marks the next phase in the Pluto-Jupiter relationship, which began in 2013 with their opposition.
We can see this quincunx again in the Uranus-Saturn cycle, with both planets transiting, and Uranus squaring the cusp of the 8th house (death and transformation). The Uranus-Saturn cycle will continue to progress in subsequent charts, symbolizing the ongoing relationship between change and structure over the coming years.
Uranus, the planet of change, is not the only trigger here. The Crimea annexation also activates the Uranus-Pluto cycle through its transiting square, expressing the tension between modernization and power, as well as the forced changes Uranus imposes on power structures.
As we can see, the annexation of Crimea initiates a broad range of classical planetary cycles, which, as they evolve, will continue to manifest through this seemingly eternal war.
Ukraine, March 18, 2014: Russian Attack on Crimea

A few months earlier, we observe the beginning of several planetary cycles coinciding with the initial attack on Crimea.
The Pluto-Mars cycle, which forms a conjunction in November 2014, is seen here in square, an expression of conflict and tension. This planetary cycle is relatively fast, completing in two years, making it useful for observing processes in “fast-forward.” Mars is triggering Pluto, with both planets in transit. Pluto agitates the 1-7 axis (relationships), destabilizing the environment, as it is positioned on the Ascendant.
In the sky, classic planetary cycles are beginning, such as: In the sky, classic planetary cycles are beginning, such as:
• Jupiter-Pluto: A cycle of expanding or contracting power, in opposition, affecting the 1-7 axis.
• Pluto-Uranus: A cycle addressing the relationship between power and modernization or change, which jointly work to destabilize the Ascendant.
• Jupiter-Uranus: A cycle reflecting the expansion or contraction of change or modernity.
There is also a quincunx—an unexpected tension—formed between Uranus and Saturn in transit, with Saturn directing this energy onto the Midheaven and natal Pluto, placing significant pressure on the leaders of the country.
Ukraine, February 22, 2022: Russian Attack on Ukraine

The Russian invasion of Ukraine, also known as the Ukraine War, began on February 24, 2022, marking an escalation of the Russia-Ukraine war, which began following the events of the Euromaidan in 2014. It constitutes the largest conventional military attack in Europe since World War II, resulting in a growing number of victims. By mid-2023, more than 9,000 civilians and tens of thousands of soldiers had been killed.
The fighting has also triggered the largest refugee crisis on the continent since World War II, with more than 7.2 million Ukrainians having fled the country and over 7.1 million internally displaced. Additionally, the war has caused significant environmental damage and jeopardized the global food supplies.
The official attack on Ukraine began under the same planetary cycles that were active in 2014, either at identical or similar angles.
The Pluto-Mars cycle completes itself once again, as it did in November 2014 during the annexation of Crimea, this time signaling another explosion of violence—a classic hallmark of the relationship between these two planets. Once again, the cycle manifests on the Ascendant, seeding the environment with aggression and war, and this time, it directly affects natal Saturn, indicating that the country’s structures (Saturn) are now under attack.
In March 2014, Uranus in transit formed a quincunx to Saturn near the Midheaven. Now, the Uranus-Saturn cycle (symbolizing change within structures) escalates to a square, with Saturn projecting tension onto the people and homes of the country (natal Moon). The natal Moon is a significant indicator of the citizens, families, and homes in a chart, as is the cusp of the 4th house, where Uranus is now transiting, already within 8 degrees. Additionally, Uranus is forming an opposition to the Midheaven and natal Pluto, adding further tension and unexpected events involving the country’s leaders and government.
Another necessary planetary alignment during wars is the 2-8 axis being activated. This is seen through the quick conjunction of the Sun with Jupiter, both opposing the cusp of the 8th house (point of death and transformation), with Jupiter amplifying all this energy and affecting the natal Sun, which represents the head of state or the ruling authority of a country.
Ukraine, February 24, 2023: Donbas Attack with 200,000 Soldiers

On the southern and southeastern fronts, Russian forces captured Kherson in March 2022 and Mariupol the following month, while abandoning their central Ukraine campaign and launching a renewed battle for Donbas. Russian forces continued bombarding military and civilian targets far from the front lines, including the energy grid during winter.
By the end of 2022, Ukraine launched counteroffensives in the south and east. Soon after, Russia announced the annexation of four partially occupied provinces. In November, Ukraine retook parts of Kherson Oblast. By February 2023, Russia mobilized nearly 200,000 soldiers for a new offensive in Donbas, and in June 2023, Ukraine launched another counteroffensive in the southeast.
If in 2022, it was the Sun and Jupiter conjunct in transit over the 2nd house cusp opposing the natal Sun. This time, it is the Sun and Saturn transiting, as though part of a cosmic chess match, repeating the same situation with the Sun in this uncomfortable position where it receives challenges alongside another planet, amplifying the pressure.
Saturn and Uranus in transit remain in square, and Uranus is now almost in exact opposition to Ukraine’s natal Pluto, increasingly complicating the lives of those wielding power in the country.
The same tension applies to transiting Pluto, which is now practically at the same degree as Ukraine’s natal Saturn, amplifying the theme of death and transformation of structures. Pluto also forms a perfect opposition to Chiron, Ukraine’s point of pain, highlighting vulnerabilities and unresolved wounds.
Interestingly, Neptune, the planet of confusion, is now perfectly aligned to Ukraine’s natal Mars, which represents the military and national energy, sowing disorientation. At the same time, Neptune forms a square to the 6th house cusp, reflecting the chaos occurring in the surrounding environment.
Ukraine, August 6, 2024: Inside Russia

I cast this chart because we cannot overlook how the Jupiter-Mars cycle in transit, which began in March 2014 during the square with the attack on Crimea, now closes its cycle with these two planets conjunct again. Although they have moved through multiple phases over these long ten years, each planetary cycle closure signifies renewed energy, creating a new moment that will unfold throughout the next cycle. This cycle’s closure, marked by a sextile to the transiting Sun, which illuminates the natal Moon, Venus, and Mercury, now transiting in a close group over this critical natal Sun point, indicates a hopeful moment for Ukraine. While the “game” is far from over, optimism can be seen here.
However, Uranus will not stop squaring the natal Moon (representing the people and homes) within 10 degrees until May 2026, when that influence will finally disappear. Yet, just as this tension resolves, Uranus will begin to square Ukraine’s natal Sun, located at 1° Virgo. The Uranus square to the Sun, followed by its square to the 8th house cusp (symbolizing death and transformation), marks the fall of the country’s leader and everything symbolized by the three accompanying planets (Moon, Venus, and Mercury). Uranus will not complete its effect on this point until it moves at least 3 degrees beyond—sometime around 2028.
Russia, September 17, 2024: Ukraine Attacks Russia

Ukraine, September 17, 2024: Ukraine Attacks Russia

I cast this chart during the lunar eclipse of September 17, connecting it to the ongoing conflicts involving Israel and Iran, as all parties are implicated in current wars. Eclipses—like full and new moons—can unfold their energies over weeks, months, or even years, depending on the persistence of their influence at the same degree. For instance, the detonation of Hezbollah’s Beepers may have been orchestrated under a previous full moon or eclipse, only to materialize hastily now after Hezbollah discovered the maneuver to plant explosives in the trackers.
This marks the beginning of a period initiated by Ukraine’s incursion into Russian territory three weeks earlier, serving as a clear example of events to unfold over the coming months.
Mars transiting Cancer (from September 5 until May 5, 2025, when it reaches 10° Leo—coinciding with the solar flare) signals heightened conflict. This transit will bring significant challenges for many countries, including Russia.
Mars transiting forms a square to Russia’s natal Mars (representing its military), signaling aggression, tension, and conflict. In contrast, the same transiting Mars forms a sextile to Ukraine’s Mars, favoring Ukrainian forces. Pluto in transit approaches Russia’s Midheaven and natal Sun, suggesting long-range attacks on Moscow and attempts to end Putin’s leadership—a scenario that will persist for years. This configuration indicates a green light for Ukraine to deploy long-range missiles, further escalating the situation, as Russia is likely to retaliate against Kiev and its leadership. Uranus opposing Russia’s natal Moon indicates attacks on Russian territory, while Mars transiting over the 4th house cusp (territory and homeland) in Leo amplifies pressure, opposing both the Midheaven and natal Moon.
On Russia’s side, there is some protection: Pluto and Neptune form a sextile and trine to Russia’s natal Moon, offering moderate protection for the country’s homeland and people. However, transiting Neptune and Saturn square Russia’s natal Saturn, representing systemic disruptions. This signifies attacks on daily life, including factories, roads, industries, and even operational systems.
In this chart, the transiting Sun also forms a T-square with Russia’s Midheaven and natal Sun, highlighting a period of heightened conflict with long-lasting back-and-forth tension.
The situation worsens with: Saturn squaring the 1-7 axis, indicating frustration and paralysis of structures impacting daily life and the immediate environment.
Russia, October 22, 2024: A Strange Collective Moment

In the subsection “The Israel-Iran Conflict” within this same section on “Wars and Revolutions,” I have explored in greater depth this strange moment, where many countries experience pressures due to planetary transits impacting critical points in their respective natal charts.
Ukraine, October 22, 2024: A Strange Collective Moment

Ukraine, November 12, 2024: Post-USA Elections

In Ukraine’s chart, we observe how multiple aspects continue to target Ukraine’s natal Moon, representing territory and its people. The Sun-Pluto opposition in transit forms a square to Ukraine’s natal Moon, intensifying tension, violence, and destabilization for the homeland and its citizens.
Uranus, transiting in conjunction with the 4th house cusp, amplifies the same themes of disruption and upheaval in territory and homes.
A particularly painful aspect is the opposition between transiting Pluto and Mars, which directly impacts Ukraine’s natal Saturn. This reflects severe attacks on Ukraine’s infrastructure and enduring hardship.
This chart was cast exactly one week after the U.S. elections, specifically to analyze the fallout. Here, we find indications that Russia escalates its attacks—perhaps capitalizing on the destabilization in the United States following the elections.
Russia, November 12, 2024: Post-USA Elections

The U.S. elections mark the beginning of an internal territorial war in the United States, a conflict that will unfold until April 2025 and beyond, culminating after the solar flare of May 2025 and extending its implications until 2028. This process, combined with the February 2026 event—possibly another solar flare impacting Central America and triggering an unprecedented migration wave—will reshape the territorial map of the U.S., leading certain states to declare independence.
In previous examples, we examined Mars transiting Leo and its retrogradation to Cancer, returning to Leo. Applied to Ukraine and Russia, these movements have opposite effects, but for the U.S., they will mark the beginning of violent separatist actions.
In the section “Mass Migrations,” I explain how these phenomena unfold in different countries, and in the section “U.S. Territorial Civil War,” I provide an in-depth analysis of this process. Here, I outline the current reality to better contextualize the Russo-Ukrainian war, which will ultimately end with the disintegration of Russia into smaller states and a fractured Ukraine.
Over the next 6 months, the U.S. will no longer be able to dedicate as much attention to Ukraine as it desires. If it does act, decisions will likely involve open-handed policies, such as permitting the use of more powerful long-range weapons.
In Russia’s chart for November 12, 2024, we observe a T-square forming in the sky, falling on the 1-7 axis. This axis represents internal and external relationships—connections between the Russian people and the outside world. This T-square is formed by transiting Mercury and Jupiter, with Saturn providing the directive, highlighting a focus on global attention and expansion through Russia’s Ascendant.
While Pluto and Neptune/Saturn provide protection to Russia’s natal Moon (representing the homeland and people), significant challenges remain: Pluto-Mars opposition in transit directly attacks Russia’s natal Sun, representing Putin and Moscow. Sun-Uranus opposition in transit temporarily destabilizes the natal Moon, while squaring Russia’s natal Pluto, increasing pressure and violent potential.
USA, March 29, 2025: Eclipse and the Beginning of Civil War with Territorial Segregation Until 2028

In this USA chart, we observe a cluster of planets gathered around the solar eclipse on the cusp of the 4th house. This marks the initial phase of their entry into the 4th house, symbolizing states demanding territorial separation—a process that will extend until 2028, when Uranus returns to its natal Uranus. Each of these planets represents archetypes with distinct meanings, collectively expressing the transformation of territory as part of its attempt to separate from the government structures that define the country.
The entry of so many planets into the 4th house mirrors the entry of those same planets into the 9th house cusp (representing crossing national borders) in countries that experience electricity blackouts in May 2025 and February 2026. It also reflects the mass migrations entering countries like Spain, Italy, and Brazil. I delve deeper into this topic in the “Mass Migrations” section.
In the USA chart, this theme is reinforced by: Uranus squaring the natal Moon, signifying profound changes in the territory and impacting the emotional collective of the population.
Mars, ruler of the 4th house, has Jupiter transiting directly over it, inflating and expanding this theme of territorial change within the 4th house. This Jupiter forms a square with the entire eclipse cluster, including Saturn, reflecting a clash between the two planets that govern the construction of civilizations. Here, Jupiter undermines Saturn (representing structures), signaling a rejection and delegitimization of those existing structures—a clear, open complaint.
Adding to this idea of separation is Mars transiting and retrograding for six months in the sign of Cancer, conjoining natal Venus, which represents the 6th house of the immediate environment, disrupting the environment, and in a very disrupted environment. All together, Fuenteovejuna, let’s sweep the house.
Neptune and Saturn will remain on the 4th house cusp well beyond 2026, destabilizing the 4-10 axis (homeland vs. government structures) and putting immense pressure on the Midheaven, the point of national leadership.
Russia, March 29, 2025: Eclipse and Escalation of War, Territorial Advances with Protected Natal Moon

Ukraine, March 29, 2025: Eclipse and More War with Support from Others

Ukraine May 12, 2025: Solar Flare

USA May 12, 2025: Solar Flare and Focus on Immediate Environment

Russia June 4, 2025: Days After the Solar Flare

USA February 18, 2026: Mass Immigration or New Territorial Breakup?

Russia February 18, 2026: Solar Flare, Natal Moon Strongly Protected by the Sky

Ukraine February 18, 2026: Fall of Ukraine

The solar flares of May 12 and February 18, 2025 and 2026 are presented in other sections, but their significance for the geopolitical future and humanity’s trajectory is undeniable. Following these events, humanity will cease focusing on Earth and begin looking toward the sky, reflecting the Jupiter-Saturn relationship’s transition from earth-water to the imminent Age of Aquarius. This aligns with the final sub-era and these moments, where transpersonal planets occupy air-fire signs (the fire of the Sun).
Ukraine July 5, 2026: Double Chaos

In Ukraine’s chart for 2026, we observe mixed moments—a sense of the situation turning around, yet significant tension remains. It appears as though the war has taken a new direction. It’s worth recalling that, according to my calculations, barely a month earlier, a country launched a nuclear bomb against North Korea, a Russian ally, which I interpret as a clear sign of a shift in circumstances.
This is reflected in the transpersonal planets, which had previously offered no support to Ukraine’s delicate chart points since 2022 but now favorably align. This marks an evident turning point in the war’s circumstances, perfectly aligning with Russia’s chart, where favorable conditions shift to a mix of positive and negative planetary aspects.
In the sky, instead of the repeated harsh alignments of the Pluto-Mars cycle (seen earlier in conjunctions and squares), we now observe a trine—a fleeting aspect that signals positive energies for Ukraine. This trine occurs in conjunction with Uranus, the planet of change, indicating a new cycle beginning. Neptune also contributes favorably, forming a sextile to these two planets, fostering renewed hope and aspirations. A square to the Nodes, impacting the 2-8 axis (resources, transformation, and mortality) and the Sun remains active.
Saturn continues to apply pressure, forming a square to the 1-7 axis while opposing the Ascendant and Ukraine’s natal Uranus and Neptune, reflecting ongoing structural tensions and disruptions.
The conflict, which began in March 2014 under a Pluto-Jupiter opposition, now completes an entire cycle, returning to the same planetary alignment. This marks a cycle’s conclusion when viewed from this perspective.
Pluto remains the most decisive planet, representing death and transformation, as the ultimate transpersonal “boss” among planets. Pluto in transit has recently passed through Ukraine’s natal Saturn, signaling the death of Ukraine’s structures. Notably, Pluto also squared transiting Chiron a few months earlier and is now opposing Ukraine’s natal Chiron, activating the nation’s point of deep pain. Additionally, Uranus transiting square to the Sun indicates changes in leadership, following completed lunar changes (affecting land and people).
Russia June 23, 2026: Double Chaos

I cast this chart for Russia at the moment of the atomic bomb detonation in North Korea, a presumed Russian ally. The earlier Ukrainian chart was cast one month later to observe the situation after some time had passed.
As I have repeated many times, if the transpersonal planets are forming sextiles or trines to a single critical point in a chart—regardless of other planets applying difficult aspects—the most these difficult planets can do is irritate or create discomfort. Critical events will not manifest under such conditions, which holds true for both national and personal charts. This is the current scenario for both Ukraine and Russia.
In Russia’s chart: The transpersonal planets, Saturn, and the Mars-Uranus conjunction are all forming sextiles and trines to the 6-12, 2-8, and 4-10 axes—the most critical axes in any natal chart. This alignment makes it impossible to destabilize Russia’s foundational structures.
However, attacks on Russia’s Sun are evident: Pluto transiting the Sun signifies a transformation of leadership, which suggests the eventual fall of the ruler. Additionally, the Sun in transit is currently targeting Russia’s natal Saturn, indicating structural changes. This pressure is compounded by Uranus square Saturn, adding an element of disruption and instability.
Russia’s Moon, representing the people and homeland, remains well-protected by two transpersonal planets and Jupiter. However, it is under attack from Uranus in opposition, signaling sudden disruptions and instability affecting the nation’s population and territory.
This is not an easy moment. Russia has already taken control of Ukraine but has just lost an ally—North Korea. Furthermore, Mars and Uranus transiting through Russia’s 12th house (hidden enemies and surprise attacks) indicate ongoing relentless attacks on its natal Moon (territory and people), forcing Russia into defensive actions. While the country’s ruler may not have fallen yet, this moment marks the beginning of the end. The fall of the leader will ultimately be defined by Pluto’s transits to the Sun, as it moves direct and retrograde over this critical point.
Bielorrusia ¿en qué anda en Julio de 2027?

Belarus and Ukraine have almost identical charts because they declared their independence on the same day and year, with the exception of their Ascendant and Moon, which are positioned differently. In Belarus’s case, the natal Moon is at 5° Pisces, while Ukraine’s Moon is at 23° Aquarius. The Ascendant in Belarus is located at 9° Capricorn, while Ukraine’s is at 15° Capricorn.
What does this mean?
The houses in Belarus’s chart are shifted backward relative to the normal planetary rotation, meaning that events affecting its cusps will occur slightly earlier than in Ukraine.
However, the Moon progresses normally forward, and since Belarus’s Moon is 8° ahead of Ukraine’s, transits affecting Belarus’s natal Moon will occur later than they do in Ukraine.
This simple interpretation indicates that Belarus will face difficult and chaotic circumstances between 2025 and 2027, similar to Ukraine. However, the impact on its natal Moon, representing its people and territory, will happen a little later than in Ukraine.
Ukraine, July 23, 2027: Nuclear Explosion in Poland

Russia July 23, 2027: Nuclear Explosion in Poland

I cast both charts simultaneously as this section is dedicated to a specific confrontation, the Russia-Ukraine relationship, to observe how a trine, an opposition, and a square in the sky mark significant points in the charts of these two countries, creating a before and after moment.
If we analyzed other countries’ charts for this same time, we would likely see how the particular planetary configurations highlight critical areas of their charts, pinpointing circumstances that are triggered and therefore areas that need to be worked on, transformed, or recovered.
There is no astrological transit configuration more symbolic and severe to describe an event charged with momentary energy caused by human military action (Mars), generating confusion and disorientation in the collective subconscious (Neptune). This is especially true when combined with significant transpersonal aspects over critical points in the chart, mixed with the triggering influence of Mars and the Sun. These manifest as a trine in air signs (by air), a dangerous and energetic T-square, and a simultaneous Mars-Neptune opposition in transit.
The symbolism of a Mars-Neptune opposition, particularly under such a heavily tense and liberating sky, speaks to a violent action (Mars)—an armed or military aggression that results in a moment of confusion and a loss of direction or understanding of what to do next.
This is the reason I chose this moment as one of great potential for a critical event involving an explosion that provokes chaos.
The Mars-Neptune opposition in the sky serves as an indicator of the two points in the chart where disorientation occurs. It acts as a locator, identifying the axis, zone, and national aspect that will be temporarily destabilized. This opposition happens to fall within the air trine, complementing it and transforming the configuration into a kite—a geometric shape of great power. All the points of the kite are directed toward the planet forming the sextiles, in this case, Neptune (confusion). Neptune becomes the focal point where all the pressure falls, while Mars on the opposite side serves as the trigger.
In the case of Ukraine, Neptune in Aries falls in the 2nd house, which governs the generation of material resources and their relationship to territory, as Taurus is the natural ruler of this house. With Neptune in Aries, this suggests a loss of energy and impulse, a sense of “I don’t know what to do with my energy” or “I release my energy without control”.
For Russia, Neptune falls in the 12th house, opposing the cusp of the 6th house, which represents the environment and the daily life of citizens. Neptune’s position here symbolizes total disorientation in the national atmosphere and everyday life. The 12th house is also the house of hidden enemies, and with Neptune transiting through it, it suggests the opening of vulnerabilities for external attacks.
Another critical point to observe is the common point connecting the T-square with the trine, which is occupied by Pluto alongside the North Node. The trine itself is composed of Uranus, Mars, and Pluto—three planets of powerful, reactive energy. Together, they express change (Uranus) through the use of military energy (Mars), resulting in transformation (Pluto). The T-square involves Pluto alongside the North Node, the conjunction of Saturn and Chiron, and, on the other side, the Sun with Venus.
This T-square expresses, on one side, the mixed energies of pain and healing (Chiron) caused by some event, combined with the organizational and functional structures of the country (Saturn). The Sun alongside Venus indicates that the attention of the leader (Sun) and the entire population is focused on Venus, representing aspects of harmony and material abundance or its shift into scarcity. Finally, Pluto alongside the North Node, as the focal point of the T-square, signifies transformation, death, and regeneration wherever it falls.
A Pluto-North Node conjunction speaks of a transformation in collective happiness—a sudden, dramatic shift in the reality experienced by all the country’s inhabitants as they search for values and utopias. While a trine generally expresses a harmonious flow of energy, I do not interpret it that way here because this trine is entangled in a T-square and a Mars-Neptune opposition. Moreover, Pluto is never gentle—especially not when paired with the Nodes, which represent the collective human experience.
In Ukraine’s chart, Pluto and the North Node are located in the 1st house, symbolizing Ukraine’s national identity and personality. This conjunction remains close to Ukraine’s natal Saturn at 4°, and it is within 10° orb of a future conjunction with Ukraine’s natal Moon. By May 2030, Pluto will directly affect Ukraine’s natal Moon, signaling a prolonged process during which Pluto will dismantle territorial structures and impact the population. The transit of Pluto over Ukraine’s natal Saturn reflects the fragmentation caused by war, tearing apart the country’s functional structures. This process effectively begins with Pluto’s entry into Aquarius in November 2024.
If we understand that the USA will be engulfed in a civil war or territorial segregation conflict following the elections on November 5, it becomes clear that the USA will be preoccupied with its internal issues and unable to intervene globally to the extent it usually does. This effectively gives free rein for Russia to consolidate its hold on Ukraine, for North Korea to act independently, and for Israel to escalate its conflicts with Iran and Palestine.
In Russia’s chart, Pluto is positioned in the 10th house, which governs the country’s leaders and directors, near the Midheaven and Russia’s natal Sun, representing the head of state. This alignment indicates that all transformations will occur in this sphere, leading to the removal of leadership. However, this process will not be swift. The fall of leadership will only become evident once Pluto moves at least 1° away from its conjunction with the natal Sun, starting in November 2028, with significant developments beginning in March 2026.
The moment of July 23, 2027, has a far stronger impact on Russia than on Ukraine, likely because Ukraine may have already fallen earlier.
For Russia, the three vertices of the T-square fall on the 4-10 axis, symbolizing the clash between territory, people (4th house) and governing authority (10th house), as well as Russia’s Mars-Neptune conjunction. This combination suggests violent action (Mars) and confusion or dissolution (Neptune) within the leadership and national structures.
Russia, May 11, 2028: Fragmentation of the EU

The fall of Russia and its leaders takes place with Pluto transiting the Midheaven and Russia’s natal Sun. There is no need to wait for Pluto to reach its natal Pluto around 2030. At the moment of the European Union’s fragmentation, Uranus transiting Russia’s Ascendant at 3° already signals what Uranus does when it reaches the Ascendant in a natal chart: it revolutionizes and completely transforms the personality and surrounding environment immediately. This is further emphasized by Uranus forming a perfect conjunction with Russia’s natal Chiron, directly touching the nation’s point of pain and healing.
This period represents a total transformation for Russia, with Uranus simultaneously squaring the 4-10 axis, a reflection of the relationship between land and leadership, the people and their rulers.
The same planetary alignments that shaped 2020, including Pluto’s conjunction with Saturn and Jupiter’s transits, resurface in 2028 but in a renewed and evolved form. Planetary cycles remind us that their energy unfolds throughout their duration and recurs until they complete themselves.
The chart for this moment mirrors 2020 but viewed from the perspective of 2028. Saturn now squares Pluto, this time joined by Mars, intensifying the theme of transformation through force and pressure. Jupiter begins forming a quincunx to Pluto, signaling an awkward energy that seeks adjustment but struggles to find harmony. Uranus, meanwhile, creates a square to Jupiter, a planetary alignment that marked the beginning of this entire cycle during Russia’s attack on Crimea in March 2014. It is striking to see this same Jupiter-Uranus square return at the conclusion of the conflict and the fragmentation of the European Union in 2028, echoing the exact alignment from March 2014, fourteen years earlier—the precise time it takes for Jupiter and Uranus to complete their cycle.
