It appears that this year the Swedish government will indeed take restrictive measures, albeit maintaining the “live and let live” approach seen in 2020. Starting at the end of the year, restrictions will be implemented weekly for certain sectors, maintaining high levels of restrictions until the end of February, when a gentle easing of restrictions begins, leading into March.

In March, the trend reverses slightly, but starting in the second half of the month, we find ourselves facing a new escalation of restrictions, and from then on, it’s time to row.

April brings back almost forgotten memories of that year 2020, which was so devastating for everyone, suddenly and almost without warning. We have difficult months ahead, both globally and personally, with possible lockdowns and a feeling of having returned to square one.

June comes as a blessing, giving us a clear easing of restrictions, leading to a summer that will have some restrictions but is a welcome breath of fresh air after the year we’ve experienced. It’s time to gather our breath and take on a once-again, once-belligerent end to autumn.
