July 19, 2024Past predictions for the city of Madrid. Forecasts prepared for 2021-2022 by Astroeras.
We’ll need to reach mid-December to notice some degree of restrictions in Madrid, and by January, we’ll begin to feel that restrictions at all levels will apply here too, as in neighboring countries. A possible new restriction will be imposed by the end of the year, and starting January 6/7 after Three Kings’ Day, the escalations will occur weekly until February.
With February comes a moderate de-escalation that disappears in March, in an atmosphere of uncertainty. Although we have gone through a difficult period this year, 2022 is moving so quickly that we will only be on the global date of April in a few days, and we won’t emerge from there until June.
The days between the end of May and the beginning of June mark the de-escalation and pave the way for July, where this process we have been experiencing since January will end: reaching a minimum of normality with transmission rates still very high.
This opens a period of global debate and reflection that will be the general tone well into 2023. The beginning of March and the summer are the times to adjust measures for the future, to understand where we’re coming from, and to project ourselves now that we have a much broader picture of what has been happening since 2020.
